Signal Family is an early Mac app from Polity Interfaces for organizing family information and preparing AI-assisted briefings.

Participating in the pilot

The pilot is for adults invited to use Signal for personal household purposes. Availability, features, and supported integrations may change as we test and improve the app. A pilot invitation does not promise a future release or continued availability of a particular feature.

Your accounts and information

You must be authorized to access the accounts, calendars, conversations, and family information you connect or provide. Keep control of your Mac and provider accounts. You retain your rights to the information you supply and authorize its processing as described in the Signal Family privacy policy to provide the app’s features.

Signal uses your own eligible AI account. The current pilot supports ChatGPT sign-in through Codex. Your AI subscription, Google or Microsoft accounts, and Apple services are subject to their providers’ terms, eligibility rules, usage limits, and any applicable charges. Signal does not include or resell those subscriptions.

Review the important details

AI-generated briefings can be incomplete or wrong. Imports cover selected sources and limited time windows; attachments and information missing from your Mac may not be available. Check original messages and calendars before relying on a date, cancellation, commitment, or other consequential detail.

Signal is a planning aid, not an emergency service or a substitute for medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. It does not send email or change provider calendar events. You remain responsible for the actions you take.

Acceptable use

Use Signal lawfully and with respect for other people’s privacy. Do not use it for unauthorized account access, surveillance, attempts to evade provider protections, or other harmful activity. Do not use connected Google data to train general-purpose AI models or for advertising or resale.

Stopping use and removing information

You can pause sources, remove connections, sign out, and stop using the app. Removing the app alone leaves its local records on the Mac. Follow the privacy policy’s deletion instructions to remove local data, revoke provider access, and manage copies retained elsewhere.

Availability and changes

The pilot is provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted service or error-free results. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Polity Interfaces does not provide additional warranties for the pilot. These terms do not limit rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We may update the pilot and these terms. Material changes will be communicated to participants; you can stop using the app if you do not want to continue under the updated terms.
